A Taste Of Devon...And Dorset

  2. A gorgeous set of photos and information. I was in Seaton last summer- walking the jurassic coast is very special. And Lyme Regis is so quaint too. This year I had a long weekend based in Swanage and walking in all directions, which I recommend too

  4. Hello Nat:
We love Dorset, Lyme Regis being a favourite haunt for many years. The coastal path walks are so wonderful and generally the whole area is unspoilt and free of crowds. We used to stay at the Alexandra Hotel overlooking Lyme Bay, Golden Cap and the Cobb the seascape there is truly magnificent. We are keen to hear more of your, obviously most successful, holiday!

  5. Everything looks very romantic and exactly what you need to enjoy the sea shore. But what is the pirate flag doing there?

  6. Like the Hattats, I love this particular stretch on coast. There is something about Lyme Regis which makes the heart sing.
Perhaps the many stories set here help.

Devon is, of course, wonderful too.

  10. Thanks everyone :-)
Olga - I snapped that flag flying on someone's boat just for fun... I love the old pirate stories that abound in that area, famous for smuggling and wrecking back in the old days..
